21 JUNE 2005
INTERNATIONNAL SLOWNESS DAY 2005

SLOWNESS DAY 2005
LAFONTAINE PARC

Life is so beautiful,
We deserve taking time to experience it... slowly
to take time to taste it, and savour it fully

The "SlowMoes&Joes" of America invite you to
come and celebrate the longest day of the year: the 21st of june
Slowing down the usual speedy bussle and taking our gentle "braindrizzle" to the Parc La Fontaine

Félix Leclerc, himself a monument to poetry and contemplation,
patron of the "SlowMoes&Joes" of the world., Offers his staute as a general gathering point where,
From dawn to dusk, rain or shine,
we'll be able to see kind people sharing slowly this wonderfull celebration of "life in the slow lane."

Some admiring clouds, others embrassing trees...
Each  choosing the appropriate way to experience "BEING... here, now, naturally...

The wild enterprise of a GLOBAL SLOW DOWN
seems to conflict with market interests and "productivity...
But on this day we let go of our quantitative obsessions
and allow for the emergence of quality time and relations

Poets, musicians, dancers, jugglers, storytellers , sculptors, paintors
and artists of all kinds will unite to create together a slow and palpable celebration of LIFE

Initiation workshops such as Taï Chi Quan, Chi Kung, sensorial gymnastic, laughter, writing & poetry
voice, signing, dance, yoga will be offered freely to all

The possibility of new discoveries ... in complete spontaneity
No hurry ...    just the magic of the moment!

An amazing and exceptionnal day in perspective
Full of surprses and unexpected encounters

Let's embrace life ...  and allow life to embrace us!
